Joint Typhoon Warning Center has issued tropical cyclone formation alerts on two disturbances rather close to Okinawa’s neighborhood.
Japanese weather forecasts are calling for rain and showers for much of the coming week, after nearly two months of less than 1 total inch of rainfall.
Kadena Air Base’s extended outlook calls for winds between 35 and 40 mph Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, with isolated thunderstorms starting Monday afternoon and continuing the next two days. PST will keep a sharp lookout.
